After twenty years of exemplary service, Rafele Mulero, more affectionately known as Mikey, retired from the Rio Rico Fire District.
Mulero was pivotal in helping develop the Rio Rico Fire District and was actively involved in much of the training and mentoring of new recruits for the district.
At a party, thrown by family, friends, fellow firefighters and members of the IAFF Local 4631, this last Saturday, Mulero was formally retired from the Rio Rico Fire District. He was presented a bronze axe by Chief Les Caid. In addition to listening to speeches on his accomplishments with the Fire District.
