Border Patrol seizes more than $97,000 in heroin | Crime
Border Patrol agents working the I-19 checkpoint near Nogales yesterday arrested a Mexican national for alleged drug smuggling.
A Border Patrol news release mentions the 30-year-old was found with 7.15 pounds of heroin, valued at over $97,000.
According to the news release the drugs will be handed over to the DEA and the alleged smuggler will face criminal charges.
